Composite doors are thicker and feel more solid, and usually cost more. uPVC is cheaper and still secure with good locks.
Do I need building regulations approval?
Replacement external doors with glass must meet building regulations. A FENSA or Certass installer handles this and gives you a certificate.
How long does fitting take?
A front or back door is usually done in half a day. Bifold and patio doors take about a day.
